A Historic Slane Millhouse Wedding

Spring weddings at a historic industrial venue have a uniquely romantic, bohemian charm. When Lydia and David came to us to design the florals for their March wedding at the incredible The Millhouse in Slane, Co. Meath, we were instantly in love with their vision. They wanted to soften the rugged brickwork and dramatic, industrial architecture of the old mill with an enchanting, “Romantic Vineyard” theme. At Flowers Touch, we provided a complete floral styling package to ensure their venue looked like an absolute fairytale.

Delicate Pink & Lilac Bridal Party Florals

To bring the romantic vineyard theme to life, we designed a breathtaking, lush bridal bouquet for Lydia featuring premium soft pink roses, delicate lilac sprigs, and beautiful touches of dusty lavender foliage. The bridesmaids carried smaller, cohesive bouquets that complemented their dresses and contrasted beautifully against the rustic stone backdrops of Slane. We also designed matching buttonholes for David and his groomsmen, featuring miniature pink spray roses and delicate sprigs of lilac to keep the entire wedding party looking perfectly coordinated.

Bespoke Venue Styling & Romantic Millhouse Details

The Millhouse has incredible architectural charm, and our venue styling was designed to highlight its unique character. In the ceremony room, we decorated the industrial altar space with trailing eucalyptus garlands, romantic hanging foliage, and warm candlelight.
For the reception, we created a warm, vineyard-inspired atmosphere. Inside the dining room, tables were styled with low, natural wood and glass displays overflowing with fresh pink and lilac blooms, wild rosemary, and sage. To complete the look, we styled the base of their elegant wedding cake with a ring of fresh foliage and soft pink roses.
