A Romantic Summer Garden Celebration in County Wicklow

Summer weddings in a historic Victorian garden setting offer a breathtaking canvas for soft, romantic colours. When Dan and Ciara came to us to design the florals for their celebration at the gorgeous Tinakilly Country House Hotel & Gardens in Co. Wicklow, we were instantly captivated by their vision. They wanted to complement the natural beauty of the estate’s tree-lined avenues and manicured lawns with a delicate palette of soft pastels, ivory, blush pink, and pale sage green, subtly textured with feathery pampas grass.

A Palette of Soft Blush, Cream & Sage Green

For a sun-drenched June wedding, a soft pastel palette brings an airy, romantic grace that harmonises perfectly with Ireland’s garden scenery.

We curated a gentle, layered color story for Dan and Ciara. Crisp cream roses and ivory lisianthus laid an elegant foundation, while sweet blush pink roses and soft peonies introduced a subtle glow. To add depth and modern texture, we wove in silvery eucalyptus foliage, white veronica, and delicate wisps of natural pampas grass—creating an arrangement style that felt both timeless and effortlessly stylish.

Ethereal Bridal & Bridal Party Florals

The morning preparations began in the light-filled bridal suite at Tinakilly House, setting the stage for a day filled with laughter and sentiment.

Ciara’s Bridal Bouquet

For Ciara, we hand-crafted a lush, cascading teardrop bouquet overflowing with delicate texture. The bouquet featured ivory garden roses, soft blush spray roses, white veronica, and airy baby’s breath (gypsophila). Sprays of silver-dollar eucalyptus and soft pampas grass plumes created a beautiful, fluid movement as she walked.

Bridesmaid Bouquets

Ciara’s bridesmaids wore gorgeous dusty-rose satin gowns that caught the afternoon light. To complement their dresses, we designed round, hand-tied bouquets featuring blush pink peonies, cream roses, white lisianthus, and fresh garden greenery.

Dan & The Groomsmen

Dan and his groomsmen looked exceptionally sharp in dark charcoal suits. For Dan and his party, we designed matching boutonnieres featuring miniature cream rosebuds, delicate gypsophila, and subtle sprigs of pampas grass, neatly bound with rustic twine for a handsome, coordinated look.

Sun-Dappled Outdoor Ceremony Styling

Taking advantage of the glorious June sunshine, Dan and Ciara chose to say “I do” outdoors on the sweeping manicured lawns of Tinakilly House, framed by ancient giant redwoods.

To create an unforgettable ceremony space, we styled the altar step with two tall, tripod pedestal arrangements. Designed to feel wild, tall, and abundant, these magnificent displays were bursting with soft pink lilies, blush roses, white spray carnations, lush ferns, and sweeping plumes of pampas grass—framing Dan and Ciara as they exchanged their vows under the open summer sky. Elegant French wooden chairs were arranged for the couple and guests, allowing the surrounding woodland to serve as a dramatic natural backdrop.

Reception Charm & The Nostalgic Cake Table

Following the sunny outdoor ceremony, guests gathered inside Tinakilly’s historic reception rooms, where warm sage-green paneling and glowing chandeliers created an inviting atmosphere.

One of the highlights of the indoor decor was Dan and Ciara’s personalized cake table. The three-tiered wedding cake—featuring a textured blush middle layer and a golden “Mr & Mrs” topper—was ringed with fresh clusters of blush roses, cream carnations, and eucalyptus. Framing the cake table were gold-framed heirloom wedding photos of their parents and grandparents, celebrating generations of family love alongside the new couple. Touches of room greenery and live caricature art brought an extra layer of warmth and joy to the evening.
