An Italian Summer Dream: Lemon & Tennis Themed Wedding at Tinakilly House

A Bespoke Love Story in Co. Wicklow

When Giuseppe and Clare approached us for their summer wedding at the gorgeous Tinakilly House in Wicklow, they had a beautiful, highly personalised vision. To celebrate Giuseppe’s heritage, they wanted a crisp, vibrant “Italian Summer” theme featuring fresh lemons. And to celebrate how they first met? A nod to the tennis court! We were absolutely thrilled to provide the complete floral package to bring this incredible theme to life.

Bridal Florals & Unique Bridesmaid Baskets

For the bridal party, we designed a fresh, elegant palette of crisp whites, creams, and lush greenery to perfectly offset the vibrant summer vibe. Clare carried a stunning, classic bridal bouquet, while we did something incredibly unique for her bridesmaids! Instead of traditional bouquets, the bridesmaids and the adorable flower girls carried beautifully woven floral baskets overflowing with fresh white blooms and eucalyptus. We also provided perfectly matched buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen, as well as delicate corsages for the family.

Outdoor Ceremony & The Floral Arch

Tinakilly House offers a breathtaking backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. We framed the couple’s “I Do’s” with a spectacular, lush white floral arch that stood beautifully amongst the venue’s gardens. Every detail of the ceremony was styled by our team—from the delicate floral posies tied with gold ribbon on the backs of the couple’s chairs, to the elegant floral arrangements decorating the candle and registry tables.

Reception Details: Fresh Lemons & Vintage Tennis Rackets

The reception is where the theme truly came alive! We dressed the rustic wooden dining tables with sprawling green foliage, crisp white roses, and whole fresh lemons for that perfect Italian touch. We even styled their beautiful 3-tier wedding cake with fresh white blooms.

Our absolute favourite detail of the day? To honour the tennis court where they first met, we decorated vintage wooden tennis rackets with trailing eucalyptus and fresh posies to display the couple’s childhood photos. It was the ultimate bespoke touch!
