A Cheerful Spring Castle Wedding

Spring at a castle venue brings a wonderful opportunity to introduce bright, cheerful colors that stand out against historic stone walls. Pamela and Paul chose the spectacular Cabra Castle in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, for their spring wedding. Rather than muted tones, they wanted to celebrate the season with a vibrant and joyful color scheme of sunny yellow, crisp white, and fresh spring green.

Sunny Yellow & Daffodil Bridal Party Florals

To capture the essence of spring, we hand-crafted a unique, textured bridal bouquet for Pamela that featured vibrant yellow ranunculus, seasonal daffodils, white spray roses, and fresh garden herbs for fragrance. Her bridesmaids carried matching white bouquets with subtle pops of yellow craspedia (billy buttons). Paul and his groomsmen wore cheerful yellow rosebud buttonholes that added a lovely touch of color to their grey suits.

Dramatic Stone Staircase Garlands & Reception Glow

Cabra Castle has a magnificent stone staircase which we wanted to highlight. We styled the banister with a trailing garland of spring greenery and bright yellow and white flowers that made for a stunning, welcoming entrance. In the grand ballroom, the dining tables were decorated with low-profile, fresh floral rings placed around glass hurricane candles, casting a warm and cheerful glow over the reception.
